Intelligent Micro Patterning Announces Record Shipments in Q4, 2009
Intelligent Micro Patterning, LLC, St. Petersburg, Florida, announced record shipments and revenue for the final fiscal quarter of 2009. These results were a result of SF-100 systems shipping to new market areas and initial shipments of SF-100 XPRESS systems. All of the company’s SF-100 products are based on a unique, maskless photolithography technology that utilizes patented Smart Filter technology, licensed by Intelligent Micro Patterning, LLC from the University of South Florida. Smart Filter technology incorporates proprietary, cutting-edge, micro-optical techniques to rapidly project master images directly onto silicon wafers, diverse substrate materials, such as quartz, ceramics, metals and plastics, and photomask blanks, without the use of photomasks.
Dr. Jay Sasserath, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We have been seeing a large increase in business recently primarily due to 2 factors. First, we are shipping systems into new market regions for IMP. We have placed initial systems into China, Russia, and Taiwan, expanding our served geographic markets. Additionally, the success of the SF-100 XPRESS is clear, having shipped initial systems during Q4 and obtaining orders for more of these systems for 2010 delivery. Since the SF-100 XPRESS and XTREME are built on the same basic platform, our manufacturing operation is able to easily scale to meet the expanding needs of our served markets.”
The company also expects a record year in 2009 for bookings, revenue, and profits. New products and further expansion of the company’s customer service capabilities are expected to be announced shortly, which will continue to support exceptional financial performance in 2010 and beyond.
